Experience Bushido

This experience is not about having fun.
There is no single correct answer to Bushido. What you take away from the words and traditions left behind by the samurai will be different for everyone.
Approach them with an open heart, and discover your own Bushido.
What You’ll Experience

This experience explores Bushido through three elements: Tradition, Words, and Reflection.
The goal is not to teach you the “correct” answer, but to encourage you to reflect on what the traditions and words left behind by the samurai mean to you.
Tradition
Experience what the samurai valued through the Nihon Kendo Kata.
Why do we bow? Why is this more than simply practicing with a sword? Our role is not to define their meaning. It is to imagine the hearts of those who left these forms behind.
Words
The samurai also left behind many words.
As people living in the modern world, we naturally understand those words through our own values. Yet we can never fully understand the thoughts and feelings that were poured into them. That is why we must use our imagination. By listening to the thoughts behind those words, we may come a little closer to their true meaning.
Reflection
There is no single correct answer to Bushido.
All we can do is imagine the thoughts of the samurai through the forms and words they left behind. What do you feel? How do you interpret it? The answer cannot be found outside yourself. You are the one who must reflect.
